AU history: After attending Prometheus Academy (http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/Prometheus_Academy) for a while, Meg eventually dropped out due to her then-recent undertaking as henchwoman for the Underworld. A couple of years go by as Hades crafts his team for the uprising against Olympus, and she meets the hunky-hero Hercules during her scuffle with the four legged river guardian, Nessus. She's relieved of that duty by her hero, dubbed Wonderboy, and returns to Hades with some...unsettling news; the only boy (now a man) stopping his eighteen year progressive plan was still breathing. Meg plays it off, as it didn't really matter to her at the time as a henchwoman, but as she was drafted to give Wonderboy another run for his money with the Hydra, and then playing hooky from Phil, she began to fall in love with him. Unfortunately, the Mist arrived shortly after, and it was decision time. She chose to take the high road and accept her invitation to the Academy, not allowing herself to get any more attached to the hero, and maybe to even escape her employer. A few months in, things were great. She was chainless to everyone, and genuinely, felt independent again. At least for a while... (see noteworthy events.)

Personality: Although witty and equipped with a sense of biting sarcasm, Meg is really charming and sensual underneath her shroud of self defense. She lacks tolerance for men, as her heart has been ripped out by a couple of them (figuratively and almost literally), and it's even led to her lack of tolerance for people in general as well, in short, to be a bit of a misanthrope. To some, she could be seen as manipulative with her sexuality, but in all honesty, she loathes the idea, unless something's in it for her. Her previous experiences ad shortcomings in life have caused her to have this unending negativity. The upside of that negativity, however, is that she's always cautious, and always untrusting of people. It takes a lot to get under her skin. Then again, it takes a lot to get her attention as well.
While she enjoys class, she doesn't enjoy being at the demand of other people, and occasionally, skips out on purpose to get some time to herself. She feels trapped in her dorm most of the time, surrounded by constant reminders of her past. She has a realistic outlook on life, and that in itself, makes her a great friend. At times she can be a bit of a gossip and a little nosey, but never without reason. She's a loyal friend (should you ever gain enough of her trust to be one). She hates conflict, but it always seems to follow her around.

Greatest Fear: Having lived her greatest fears in and out again, being left for someone else, selling her soul, being killed, and in general, being alone, Meg's afraid of losing all that she has going for her. Here at the Academy, she knows she has at least one or two genuine friends that she can count on, and she wants to hold onto that as long as she can. Losing her friends and what little sense of freedom she has truly scares her, as she's not sure if she has anything left in Thebes.

Has your character been at the Academy before/ does your character remembering being at the Academy before?: Meg attended the Academy early on, and has seen her fair share of people come and go. She remembers most of her friends and classmates. See below.

What are you plans with this character?: Meg is a hard character to bring to the table, but she's good at being what the real damsels in distress need: a friend. She's got a tough hide, something most princesses and others here might not have. She's the lending ear, the sounding board, the confidant, and that chick that's always giving her teachers shit.

And also, to make her miserable. Seriously.

AU history: Sinbad had been traveling overseas for as long as he could remember. As time went on, his crew seemed to drift apart, leaving him on his own. The mist was spreading, and even though he didn’t let on, he was starting to grow worried. Until one day his ship docked at a certain Academy…

After landing, Sinbad did indeed settle. He met people he probably never would have before, and can fortunately say he didn’t have any first-hand interaction with the Mist, though he’s very wary having witnessed its affect on someone he’s close to.
Personality: Sinbad is a very proud, cocky pirate. He doesn’t seem to care too much about speaking his mind and usually gets into a lot of trouble for it. He’s quick with words and holds little to no regrets after they are spoken. The odds of him dropping an argument are slim to none. Getting the last word in always seems to appeal and he just likes winning. He will stand by his original words and it would take a lot of convincing to prove to him that he may be wrong.

Despite his irrationality, Sinbad is full of jest. Many of his insults are light-hearted unless he’s reached a snapping point. If he’s comfortable enough with a person, he’ll openly joke or pick at them in a friendly way. This is seen a lot particularly with Kale. Sinbad also uses his humor to go around any deep feelings that might be getting to him. He rarely goes into things that are bothering him, especially if it’s with someone he isn’t very familiar with. He laughs off most of his feelings (particularly sadness). If he doesn’t like someone, the jokes aren’t meant to be so funny. That doesn’t seem to stop him.

Sinbad tends seek thrill and excitement in situations most would cower away in. He thrives for adventure and will take on just about anything that calls to him. He doesn’t mind being the first to dive into something that might bring him pain and thralls in the risk that comes with it. He’s ready to fight himself out.

Being a generally smooth-talker helps when one is a pirate, but once Sinbad develops any type of attachment, his words are real. He truly wants to be there for anyone he cares about that needs him. The last thing he wants to do is let them down, and so he goes to many extremes for this handful. He knows he can’t make everyone happy, but he would like to at least appease those who have had his back.

AU history:
Rapunzel grew up within the confines of a tower with only her mother and pet chameleon Pascal as company. Her mother never permitted her to leave despite her expressed wishes to, having been told that the world was too dangerous and full of selfish people that would use her magical hair for their own ends. But one day Rapunzel found a curious letter tucked away amongst her mother’s things. It was an invitation to attend Disney Academy, and it was addressed to her. She asked for her mother’s permission to go, but her mother insisted that she would be unable to take care of herself out there, much less if this “Black Mist” stuff the letter mentioned truly existed.

When a strange man happened to come climbing in through the window, she found her courage and quickly knocked him unconscious with a frying pan. Impressed that she’d been able to knock him out, she again attempted to reason with her mother by showing his unconscious form to her as proof that she could handle herself, but this discussion swiftly ended before Rapunzel could even show her. But she wasn’t about to give up. She came up with a rouse to get her mother to leave for an extended period of time – a period which Rapunzel would use to go find the academy. However, knowing NOTHING of the world, she turned to the man who’d climbed her tower – Flynn Rider – and blackmailed him to guide her to the school. Ultimately Flynn agreed and they left the tower and the forest together. After some time (and with some pit stops in an attempt to convince Rapunzel to give up and turn back), the duo somehow make their way to Disney Academy.

And there Rapunzel stays for some of the most blissful months of her life. Always eager to learn, she took up tons of classes for absolutely anything she thought sounded interesting or fun. She found wonderful friends in her roommate Jane, as well as many of the other girls in the academy (Lottie and Arista, for instance), and her close friendship with Flynn opened her up to many of the boys as well (Tulio, Miguel, Megamind, and Quasimodo in particular). Her mother joined the school briefly as a teacher, a fact that had her momentarily terrified that she would be forcibly dragged back home to the tower. However, she managed to convince Mother Gothel that the school was safe and that she preferred to stay there. Obviously this was upsetting to Gothel, but she conceded and eventually ended up heading back home, leaving Rapunzel in the school.

Flynn, being the first man Rapunzel had ever met, soon became her best friend and closest confidante (besides Pascal). He was one of the few people in the school Rapunzel felt she could really trust, considering she'd known him the longest, and so had a tendency to go to him whenever she had questions or needed advice. This gradually blossomed into something deeper, which was both exciting and worrisome to Rapunzel. Mother Gothel had told her to keep away from Flynn when she left, so if she ever came back and found out she'd deliberately disobeyed, Rapunzel would be in a heap of trouble. But, with some prodding from Tulio on both sides, she and Flynn started dating. Needless to say, Rapunzel has kind of been dancing on Cloud 9 ever since.

Personality:
Rapunzel is undoubtedly an extremely sweet, thoughtful young lady. She’s a dreamer and a hopeless romantic at heart, and all she really wants in life so far is to have her one wish to leave the tower (even for just a little while) be granted. She’s also loyal and loving to a fault, as all her life she’s obeyed her mother without complaint, in spite of her own desires. She believes wholeheartedly that her mother is simply being a good mother and is looking out for her well-being. Because of this, she decides that any adventure outside of the tower is better off happening without her mother’s knowledge. Still, it fills her with deep regret to think she’s done something that could break her heart so extensively; she prefers to keep her promises and never ever break them. All forms of love are a big deal to her, as she received it from her mother in such abundance; the very idea of it not being real is foreign and strange to her, and her heart would all but shatter to learn otherwise.

Being trapped in the top of a tower for a solid 18 years does things to a girl. For example, she must find lots of hobbies to busy herself with: cooking, baking, chores, reading, various forms of art, dancing, etc. As such, she’s come out extremely quirky, filled with creativity and imagination, playfulness, idealism… and some minor delusional paranoia about what the outside world is like (which is all thanks to her loving mother). All her life she was led to believe that the world was terrifying and filled with horrible people and things, so she is extremely jumpy upon first setting foot outside the tower, prone to bashing anything that moved over the head with a frying pan. However, she’ll adjust fairly quickly after learning the truth and become ready to all but embrace the world and all its beauty. She is easily carried away by her own enthusiasm and her love for life, so when she’s thrilled about something, it shows, even if she tries to hide it.

Over the years she’s become a true artist: every inch of space on the walls inside her tower is covered with paintings of anything Rapunzel could manage. From star charts to portraits to a grand depiction of the floating lights she so longs to see, she’s created an extremely impressive gallery for herself. This of course leads her to be drawn to anything that’s aesthetically pleasing, and inspiration for a sketch or two could hit her at any given moment. It also makes her a huge dork; she loves every kind of art and books of every genre… any activity that passes the time is a great activity to her. She can hardly even imagine the possibilities that would be open if she was able to go outdoors, which makes the world all the more exciting to her.

Although she’s never been out in the world before and is therefore extremely naïve and somewhat gullible, that doesn’t mean Rapunzel’s stupid. Far from it: in spite of her limited education Rapunzel is very smart. She’s a fast learner, and she’s fully capable of recognizing danger and acting accordingly. Being shut in for so long has made her yearn and crave for all the knowledge she’s missed out on, and once she’s set free she’s bound to be like a sponge. She finds means of defending herself quickly enough and continues to learn and grow from all her new experiences. Any kind of change, while terrifying, is something that Rapunzel would welcome. It may take a few reflexive frying pans to the head, but she’s been “stuck in the same place” for so long that deep in her soul she longs for anything that would break the cycle. Though she’s naturally very friendly and sweet, meeting new people is still a strange and extremely awkward situation for her, bound to be coupled with lots of fidgeting, suspicion, and anxious laughter. After all, she only had a chameleon and a mother to talk to for 18 years. However, she warms up to people quite quickly once she sees that they don’t have pointy teeth or aren’t after her hair (and once she’s been separated from her frying pan). That said, she doesn’t take all that kindly to being mocked or taken advantage of: she can and will lash out in whatever way she can.

AU history: Born into royalty, Jasmine spent all of her days growing up inside Agrabah’s palace walls. Horribly sequestered from the world outside, not to mention smothered by the world inside, she longed to be able to make her own decisions and go where she pleased. That longing led her to run away from the palace, where she eventually met and was saved by a boy in the marketplace. Without her title as a princess to change how he acted towards her, she found herself treated as a normal girl, and soon found herself enamored with the young man . He was brave, cunning, kind, and full of hope; that was something she didn’t see often in the men that frequented the palace. However, fate proved far too cruel; Jafar had sent Razoul and his fellow guards to hunt down the boy. Unable to disobey Jafar, even after Jasmine revealed herself and ordered them to stop, the boy was sent to the dungeons, and Jasmine was returned to the “safety” of the palace.

When questioning Jafar about the warrant for the boy’s arrest, she was told (and subsequently believed) that he was unfairly sentenced to death. Heartbroken for the first time in her life, bitter, angry, and repulsed by Jafar, she spent the next few days in tearful agony, mourning her friend... the only friend she ever made (outside of Rajah).

However, as time passed, something seemed off, even to her; her misery went beyond that of normal grieving... It was then that the Mist first began to sweep into the deserts of Agrabah, slowly but surely affecting the people in the city. Alongside her father and his vizier, they successfully evacuated the kingdom into the north-western regions of the Middle Kingdom, away from the Mist’s grasp. Without the “security” of the Palace walls serving as her protective cage, she was confined to a guarded tent. As one can imagine, the lack of space and liberty made for a very restless princess. She trapped in that ridiculously space under the guise of “security,” her home was in danger, and she was unable to properly help her people. None of that sat agreed with her heart, already so distraught from the boy’s apparent death.

The only redeeming factor of being evacuated and confined? The law demanding she marry before her 16th birthday had put on hold since proper ceremonies couldn’t be carried out so far from the sanctity of the Palace. However, it wasn’t much consolation. She spent her days pacing about, trying to figure out how to make herself useful when she was in such a predicament.

Then, a ray of hope was delivered to her: a letter of acceptance from Walt Disney Academy, signed by the headmaster himself. This was her chance! She could escape being cooped up, help find a way to stop and destroy the Black Mist (which had uprooted her father and her people from their relatively happy lives), and it had the extra bonus of proving herself capable as not only a Princess, but also as an independent young woman. Determination renewed, she begged and pleaded with the Sultan (while away from Jafar’s ears, of course). After reassuring him that she would be safer at the Academy, and after giving him the promise of returning with a way to reclaim their home and kingdom, he let her go with a heavy heart.

A year has passed since then.

She made a few friends while at the Academy, and lost most of them to their decision to leave; however, many of her memories of a handful of individuals has become foggy, leaving her with nothing but inexplicable feelings of hopelessness and heartache, usually rearing their heads after reoccurring nightmares. Something about... someone... she can’t put her finger on it, though.

Personality: Jasmine can a very sweet and caring individual. When given the opportunity and the right setting, she manages to sympathize and empathize with those around her; however, she finds it exceedingly difficult to do this when the person is over-confident, cocky, rude, crass, etc. (Examples: Prince Achmed, initially Prince Ali, the apple peddler) . The people who get to see her demonstrate her understanding tend to either be completely innocent or have proven themselves worthy enough to get past her emotional barrier.

This princess is exceedingly opinionated and knows what she wants. She typically refuses to stoop to anything lower unless it’s absolutely necessary (Example: swallowing her pride to seduce Jafar even though he disgusts her). Stubborn to the core, those who get on her “bad list” (such as Jafar and Iago in canon) are typically on it for life, unless they can prove their worth and loyalty. She’s more than happy to speak her mind and stand up for what she believes in; loss of tact may, from time to time, be inevitable when she does. She’s also shown to resort to force if need be, though she’s not physically strong or adept at fighting. When that fails, she has shown to use her position in society as a princess to order people to cease (Razoul arresting Aladdin).

She can be a great judge of character, but not always. She falls prey to those who lie convincingly, but Allah forbid she catches someone in their lies. Malevolent or needless lying is one thing in her book she can’t stand, more so than anything else; it can make or break one’s relationship with her. This is because when she puts her trust into someone, she expects them to cherish that trust like a irreplaceable treasure. Lying quickly compromises that. Similarly, when people put their trust in her, and if she accepts it wholeheartedly, she knows (and expects the others to realize) that she would never betray it. That’s not to say occasional fibbing doesn’t happen; she does understand the reasons behind it (heck, she even does it herself, such as pretending to like Ali on the balcony, or tricking Jafar into thinking she had fallen in love with him). There is, however, a difference between lying to protect or harmlessly put off and lying for malicious purposes (such as Jafar lying about Aladdin’s death so that he could use the boy to fetch the lamp) or purposely hiding the truth when it’s unnecessary (Ali hiding that he’s not really a prince). It is thar level of falsehood and deceit that she cannot stand.

All the same, she carries the assumption that most of the everyday people are generally good, and that they wouldn’t take advantage of her. This most likely comes from a lack of normal interactions between various types of people, as she was kept hidden away most of her life.

Most of the interactions she’s had over her years have been with animals (as seen throughout the canons; they include birds, fish, Rajah the tiger, and horses). Because of this, she finds it easier to relate to animals than humans, even if she does love interacting with real people. Her affinity for animals typically makes it easier for her to handle them ( if Rajah obeying only her, the birds refusing to fly away when she holds them isn’t enough proof, she’s shown the ability to tame a supposedly untamable horse in “Follow Your Dreams.” Along those lines, and a bit off topic, though the various canons of Aladdin, it’s been seen that she’s incredibly adept at horseback riding, which gives way for reason to believe she has studied it since she was young).

When people assume she’s incapable of something that she knows she isn’t, she makes sure to take pride in proving them wrong. She’s a quick learner (pole-jumping over the rooftops of Agrabah) and thoroughly enjoys learning, particularly if it’s hands-on. She loves the challenge of taking on something new, though, like many other people, she’s been seen to become discouraged if it doesn’t go as planned.

AU history: After being betrayed by Rourke in the volcano bordering Atlantis, Helga was rescued out of good faith by Milo and Joshua Sweet, their lead medical officer. In pieces, Sweet patched up what he could of her, and she came to the surface with the rest of the team, thankful just to have what she had of her life. She's never questioned Sweet or Thatch's intentions. She was invited back to Whitmore Industries on one condition: she accept the position at Disney Academy. While initially, she wasn't very happy about her arrangements, she didn't complain. Arriving at the Academy, she settled in quietly, testing her limits and pushing herself past them, her eye set on healing and being back in her best game as quickly as possible. On occasion, her previous injuries tend to flare up, most often as ghost pains spurred by Mist/Strangeling invasions. Otherwise, due to slip ups, which she isn't usually prone to.
The first get together, the Masquerade, came along with Rourke's return, something she wasn't at all pleased with. She made sure to assert her position on the playing field with him, one that said she wasn't going to be bowled over again. Throughout her stay, however, the two came to reconcile, though they had not forgiven each other completely.

Besides-- after a treasure hunt, mutiny, escaping an exploding planet with seconds to spare, BEN, and the disappearance of Silver... perhaps a change of pace would do her good. Temporarily, of course.

Personality:
Captain Amelia is a Navy captain through and through, even working in the private sector.

She believes firmly in duty. Every man and woman has an assignment on her ship, and she sees to it (along with her first mate and quartermaster) that those jobs are done as they are supposed to be done. She tolerates no slackness in the execution of orders, and she expects that, while on her ship, that her command "Jump" would be met with the reply of either "Yes, ma'am" or "How high?" As the captain, her lawful place is at the top of the ship's pecking order, and she expects everyone under her to know it.

Discipline is vital to her. The only way to teach those who transgress either duty or order is to punish. Amelia is a fair captain, but she allows for no challenges to her authority on her ship. Punishments suit the crime and are hard enough to deter further behaviour of the sort without being excessive.

Amelia regards herself as something of a natural superior to many. She has paid her dues, fought wars, seen worlds others have only dreamed about, and she has the scars to prove each claim. She is proud of her service, which few could argue, but that pride also falls into arrogance. She is dismissive of those she considers beneath her, initially disregarding Dr. Doppler as little more than an irritation. When giving orders, Amelia is very to the point, but if she wants to be, she is more than capable of taking on a very condescending tone.

However, the captain's stubbornness does not fall into the idiotic. She will push herself with her injuries, but she will listen when finally told that she can take no more and must rest. She is also willing to accept that her first impressions can be wrong. Both Hawkins and Doppler, for instance, manage to impress her into changing her mind about them.

Greatest Fear:
Amelia's greatest fear is helplessness. So long as she is of sound enough body to fight, sound enough mind to think, and can fend for herself, she can press on. Having to rely on others or chance (for "luck" is merely "favourable chance," in her opinion) to win, let alone survive is extremely frightening to the captain.

Captain Amelia has never been to the Academy.

What are you plans with this character?:
Amelia is a leader. She has been a Navy captain for many years, and she has been a private captain since her decommission as such. I am eager to see her adapt to her new surroundings, new assignments, and new expectations, as well as see the effect new acquaintances result in with her.

AU history: Born a mutt in Louisiana, Charlie in the early years of his life had nothing to call his own but the fur on his back. He soon learned if he wanted to get something, he’d have to steal it. He learned most of what he knew from his father, Burt, a con dog from a long line of con dogs. Finding the city of New Orleans was full of suckers ripe for the picking, he grew up on the streets conning, conniving, and stealing the money he needed. He met the dog who would become his best and lifelong friend, Itchiford Daschund when they both tried to lift the same wallet. Itchiford’s name soon got shortened down to Itchy, a sure sign of affection by Charlie, and the two began a partnership. Charlie soon became notorious as the go to dog for anything unscrupulous that needed to be done. Carefully saving his money as only someone who has had absolutely nothing can, he had enough to split the cost of running a casino with another dog, Carface Carruthers, and the two became business partners, with Charlie looking on Carface as another trusted friend. Things seemed to be looking up, and then, it all swiftly went downhill.

Charlie was framed for a murder he didn’t commit and was sent to the Dog Pound, sentenced to Death Row. Itchy, pawed as his accomplice, wasn’t about to let his best friend rot. The two worked on a getaway plan that was mostly successful. Returning to the casino, he was warmly greeted by Carface, unaware it was the other dog who had framed him in order to get his partner out of the way. Convincing Charlie that it was too hot in New Orleans for him and that he should start over new, Carface threw him what was supposedly a going away party on Mardi Gras, getting the dog good and drunk, then setting him up at the end of a pier with the promise of a “surprise”. Charlie was too hammered to realize the sinister intentions. In the meantime, Itchy had found out about the plot and was desperate to warn Charlie. He was too late and watched in horror as a car ran over Charlie at full speed and knocked his body into the river.

Careening through a bright tunnel of lights, Charlie crash-landed quite literally into the gates of Heaven, meeting a whippet angel who informed him he was dead, but had gone to Heaven since all dogs were naturally good, loyal, and kind. Shocked and angry, he found the watch that contained his life and rewound it on the sly. A place with no surprises held no appeal for him, and after all, he had a revenge scheme to plan out. He crawled his way out of the river, finding that the watch eerily chanted, “You can never come back….You can never come back…” Determined to get his revenge on Carface, he enlisted Itchy’s help after convincing his best friend he wasn’t dead.

Knowing Carface had a secret weapon, Charlie and Itchy sought to steal it, discovering that it was a little girl named Anne Marie who could communicate with all animals. Stealing her, at first Charlie’s nice behavior towards her was just an act as he promised to give money to the poor and find her a family. As time went on, her innocence and sweet nature began to win him over, and he began to genuinely care about the girl. Using the money she made from serving as his ringer in gambling, he opened a casino called “Charlie’s Place” to rival Carface’s.

As his casino took off, Charlie became restless. There was no challenge left to face. He had proven to himself and Carface that he was the better dog. In addition, Anne-Marie had grown quite angry with him for all of his lies, finally confronting him with the wallet he had stolen. When she ran away to return it, Charlie tracked her back down and took her back through some trickery. As they headed back to the casino, Carface tried to kill him. Charlie discovered his immortality for the first time.

Powers: The extent of Tia Dalma's powers is unknown. However, back in human form as she will be in the Academy, this will cause her to suffer some short term effects. Calypso (we'll use this name to refer to her when she isn't human.) had enough power to create a hurricane & maelstrom in the blink of an eye, but Tia herself can only produce localized magic. She's very practiced in folk magic, mysticism and various forms of sorcery; she was responsible for bring back Hector Barbossa from the dead, and it is hinted in the Jack Sparrow prequel series that she transfigured a young lady into a cat. The effects the Mist has on these powers will vary from time to time.

AU history: The alternate universe begins about the peak of the action on the high seas, the East India Trading company egging on the firefight against the Pirate Lords, not far from Shipwreck Cove. Leading the action is the newly appointed Pirate 'King', Elizabeth Swann.
Meanwhile, aboard the Pearl, Tia Dalma waited, patiently, her plans with Barbossa unfolding slower than she would've hoped. Soon she should be with her beloved sea again---but this was not the case. The only thing more daunting than the white mist settling at their feet was it's slow, darkening shade. Both parties agreed; now was not the time for disputes, as they now, both shared a common enemy. Much to her dismay, they were now without heading, and she returned to her home in the marshes of the Caribbean, the wavering Mist even bringing forth her greatest nightmares. No longer could she wait, no longer could she stand by and allow her seas to be ruled by what she did not know. One eve, she's visited by a cloaked stranger, handing her a wax sealed letter. Thinking it a warrant, or perhaps something worse, she opened it, and inside was her invitation to the Academy. She packed her things as the Mist enveloped the marsh, bringing herself, Jack the monkey, and all of her belongings to the island.
Personality: To put it simply, Tia is very much like the ocean (pun not intended), inviting and mysterious. However, never turn your back to the ocean, nor Tia. To do so would be a grave mistake. Tia is able to hold a grudge and carry out revenge the first chance she gets, and without a second guilty thought. To double cross or attempt to take advantage of her may cost you your life.
Tia is very wise in the ways of the world (and piracy, no doubt.) and has many connections with many people. However, she doesn't let this affect how she thinks of herself among humans. She's aware of her power, though definitely does not flaunt it. She demands equal payment when providing her services. Tia isn't very introverted at all, but her business is her business, she keeps personal matters to herself. When giving advice, she alludes to her previous and often similar experiences to provide an example or a metaphor. Tia offers guidance to those in need of it, especially those amongst her seas. She provides tool and instruction to those seeking something, cures to mysterious ailments, advice to those who are lost, and her hospitality to those that show respect to her. She is kind to children and people who have little choice in their situations, however, will not provide aid without payment.
Tia's heart is heavily guarded, and the topic of love is a sore one for her. She prefers to stay away from it as much as possible. Due to her past relations with Davy Jones and the events that transpired, her trust is not an easy commodity to come by. Tia will watch and observe you, and predict your needs before you ask them to be met. Through and through she fufills the title of witch doctor, correcting what cannot be corrected by itself.
When needed, Tia can be quite cunning and crafty. When learning of Jack's predicament with Davy Jones (who cannot set foot nor touch land for ten years since he did last), Tia provides him with a jar of dirt, a practical solution to Jack's problem. During the siege in Singapore, Tia provides several signals and eventually, an explosive end to the assault, buying the crew and her allies some time to escape.

AU history: Helga's survival of the volcano rests on one simple fact: her crew was populated by people morally better than her.

Rather than leaving Helga to die at the base of the volcano, Dr. Sweet used his Atlantean vehicle to grab Helga, and Milo kept the Atlanteans from killing her for her crimes. She returned to the surface with the others.

A short while after the "briefing" of the others on the story of the voyage, Whitmore pulled Sinclair aside and offered her a sealed letter-- an invitation to teach at Disney Academy. He also made it clear to Helga that if she didn't accept the position and manage to keep it for at least a year, she had no job or house to return to. If she could prove herself in a new environment, however, he would finance a foray back into the treasure hunting game... Either with finding her a crew to serve or building one of her own.
Personality: Helga, at her very core, is a treasure hunter.

She feels no shame in admitting it, even takes a sort of pride from the idea. Sentimentality and "historical signifigance" mean little to her. Their only value is in driving up the price of whatever artifact she's attempting to auction off. A dying token to a child or a religious tribute are worth far more than a piece of cast off jewelry. Helga is all about the bottom line. If she doesn't come out on top, she isn't in.

However, for all her mercenary tendencies, Helga is a good lieutenant. She follows the orders of her commander, so long as she feels that the person she is following is competent. She also takes her crew as her personal responsibility. She doesn't always see them necessarily as individuals, but she feels their safety reflects on her and her abilities, so she will go to great lengths to protect them. She is capable of genuine affection, but she has difficulty expressing them, and often her forms of reaching out can be seen as pushing people away. It can be very difficult to tell the difference between an insult and a teasing remark when they come in the almost exact same sarcastic tone.

Helga is proud and more than a little greedy. She generally refuses to admit when she's in over her head, and she will take almost any risk if the payoff is great enough. She has what many would consider a skewed sense of reward. For money or solid rewards, she's willing to risk life and limb. However, if the reward is intangible ("doing the right thing," for one), she is generally one of the first to wash her hands of a task.

Helga is very hands-on. Rather than tell someone how to do something, she would prefer to walk them through it, step by step. Not just showing them, but forcing their hands through the right movements or the like.
Greatest Fear: Helga's greatest fear is helplessness.

Helga is an independent woman, even when working as part of a unit or under a superior officer. She can take orders and follow them to the letter, but if she cannot take care of herself and her own, she will fight a situation. Overwhelming odds are not too frightening for her, but being unarmed, injured, and completely at even one person's mercy is a thought she tries not to entertain often.

What are you plans with this character?: Helga is a lieutenant without a command and a leader without a team. What little trust she'd given has been shattered. Her injuries are still fresh-- they will take a month to heal into fighting condition, longer if there is trouble with the Mist. Her career is in shambles.

She has a lot to rebuild, both inwardly and outwardly.

AU history: Sinbad had been traveling overseas for as long as he could remember. As time went on, his crew seemed to drift apart, leaving him on his own. The mist was spreading, and even though he didn’t let on, he was starting to grow worried. Until one day his ship docked at a certain Academy…

After landing, Sinbad did indeed settle. He met people he probably never would have before. Most recently, Sinbad got lost in an invasion of the Mist. It didn’t take away his memories but it did make him lose a sense of how long he had been gone as well as trigger some painful memories. Other than that, he’s at the Academy in one piece.

Personality: Sinbad is a very proud, cocky pirate. He doesn’t seem to care too much about speaking his mind and usually gets into a lot of trouble for it. He’s quick with words and holds little to no regrets after they are spoken. The odds of him dropping an argument are slim to none. Getting the last word in always seems to appeal and he just likes winning. He will stand by his original words and it would take a lot of convincing to prove to him that he may be wrong.

Despite his irrationality, Sinbad is full of jest. Many of his insults are light-hearted unless he’s reached a snapping point. If he’s comfortable enough with a person, he’ll openly joke or pick at them in a friendly way. This is seen a lot particularly with Kale. Sinbad also uses his humor to go around any deep feelings that might be getting to him. He rarely goes into things that are bothering him, especially if it’s with someone he isn’t very familiar with. He laughs off most of his feelings (particularly sadness). If he doesn’t like someone, the jokes aren’t meant to be so funny. That doesn’t seem to stop him.

Sinbad tends seek thrill and excitement in situations most would cower away in. He thrives for adventure and will take on just about anything that calls to him. He doesn’t mind being the first to dive into something that might bring him pain and thralls in the risk that comes with it. He’s ready to fight himself out.

Being a generally smooth-talker helps when one is a pirate, but once Sinbad develops any type of attachment, his words are real. He truly wants to be there for anyone he cares about that needs him. The last thing he wants to do is let them down, and so he goes to many extremes for this handful. He knows he can’t make everyone happy, but he would like to at least appease those who have had his back.

Powers: For the most part, Mike is pretty ordinary in terms of abilities. Except, of course, for the fact that he's a giant, mutated turtle that happens to be just slightly stronger and faster than most athletic humans (in fact, he was the fastest of the turtles). It's possible that this could have been achieved through training, but it is also possible that this is a result of his mutation. His shell also allows him to survive falls and hits that might otherwise have resulted in his death.

Michelangelo is a ninja, and an extremely good ninja at that. This means that he is skilled in martial arts (a very high black belt by now in terms of experience), stealth, and has been trained in how to use shuriken (throwing stars), katana, sai, bo staffs, bo and arrows, and his chosen and best weapon, nunchaku, among others. He has also been canonly shown to be a great shot with a laser rifle/blaster, taking out three armored cars and a helicopter with one. He also may have some experience in explosives, if the M80s on his bandoleer are any indication.

He also has adapted to the use of one arm. And not just adapted, excelled at martial arts with the use of one arm. Mike has completely retrained himself to survive and fight. He's capable of taking out a group of enemies armed laser rifles (without killing them), their armored cars, and then the helicopter directing their movements.

Mike also has an exceedingly good memory when it comes to directions. He lived for many years in the sewers, and has now lived many years under the radar of his destroyed world. His survival skills are topnotch.

The turtle can also still meditate, although no longer of the same vein that he did when his father was still alive. This is strictly a personal interpretation, and therefore not considered canon. However, meditation can be used to control emotions, and even eliminate them. While he has not the peace of mind to achieve such a state, meditation is one of the ways he controls his emotions. However, he is no longer a pro at it, as he has had too many things happen to him and not enough support to work through his emotions. Instead, he suppresses them. Even though he is capable of simple forms of meditation, he is likely not capable of teaching them to anyone.

Canon history: Like any Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle story, this one began with ooze. The turtles began their lives as normal hatchlings, but due to a freak event, fell into the sewers and became covered in glowing, green ooze. Splinter, a rat, felt pity for them and gathered them up in a coffee can. The next morning, all of them woke up bigger, more intelligent, and eventually all the turtles were speaking and walking on their hind legs. Splinter, having learned ninjutsu prior to being changed from watching and imitating his owner, Yoshi Hamato, taught the turtles these same skills, knowing that the surface world would not understand them and that they would need to remain hidden. He became their father and sensei.

There were four turtles. Leonardo is the leader and eldest brother who always watched over his younger siblings and constantly strove to perfect his ninjutsu. Donatello is the supposed second eldest and a techie with an interest in archeology, astronomy, languages, robotics, and more. Raphael is the angry hothead that will react first and ask questions later, especially if his family was in danger. And the youngest, Michelangelo, is an immature fan of comic books and video games.

When they were fifteen and minding their own business, the turtles and their sensei were attacked by small, evil chocobo-shaped robots with powerful jaws. These 'Mouser' robots destroyed their home and separated the turtles from their father, forcing the turtles to the streets of New York City. There, they faced their first battle against gang members from the Purple Dragons which lead into their first real ninja fight against a group of Foot Clan ninja. Donatello managed to hot wire the armored car that the Purple Dragons had, and they escaped, but just barely. It was the first of many eventful nights in their lives, but this one ended well, as Master Splinter lead them to a new, much cooler home.

The robots lead them to meet their first human friend, April O'Neil. She was the assistant of the egocentric scientist that had designed the robots, Baxter Stockman, whom had set the bots upon her once she figured out he was using the robots for purposes beyond solving the city's rat problem (such as robbing banks). The turtles rescue her, and after a major misunderstanding and a lot of fainting, she vows to help the turtles take Stockman down. They manage to destroy his Mouser factory, although he gets away, and April grows to become a central figure in the turtles' lives. Later on, the Turtles find out that Baxter was funded by the Foot Clan.

Shortly afterwards, they are introduced to the second central human friend in their lives--Casey Jones. Raph meets him after going topside to calm down from losing his anger and nearly braining Mikey during a training session. Raph stops the masked vigilante from going too far to prevent a robbery by Purple Dragons, and Casey doesn't appreciate it. Despite initially not getting along with Raph, Casey ends up getting introduced to the family during a fight with the gang's backup, and they take them down together. From then on, he becomes a friend of the turtles, although sometimes only Raph will admit it, as Casey might be street smart, but he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

Sometime afterwards, a mysterious power outage brings the turtles out of the Lair and into their second skirmish with the Foot Clan. Although the turtles initially are unable to prevent the ninja from stealing a sword from a museum, but later recover it. The leader of this clan, Saki Oroku, otherwise known as the Shredder, was the man who tortured then killed Splinter's master when Yoshi would not give him the information he desired.
